Carolina and Felipe Lead the Way for Couples on Their Journey to Matrimony
Carolina and Felipe have grown into leaders, through their service as a lead couple for the Engaged Encounter program—a ministry where couples gather, united by faith and a shared commitment to nurturing their relationships under God's guidance. Each weekend, they open their hearts to couples eager to prepare for the sacrament of matrimony, by sharing their journey—stories of love, struggle, and faith—that resonate deeply with the couples who attend.
"Being part of this ministry," Carolina often says, "is about living out our faith in a way that others can see and feel. It's about showing how we've entrusted our relationship to the Lord, even in the toughest times." Felipe echoes this sentiment, adding, "We've had our ups and downs, but our faith in God has always been our strength."
The Catholic Service Appeal plays a vital role in ensuring that this ministry continues to thrive and touch the lives of many more couples. "We have a responsibility," says Felipe, "not just to our church, but to each other. Whether through our time, donations, or prayers, we must support this ministry. When we do it with love, the blessings come in ways we never imagined."Looking to the future, Carolina and Felipe dream of expanding the Engaged Encounter weekends to include Hispanic couples, breaking down language barriers and making the church a welcoming home for all. They are committed to ensuring that every couple, regardless of background, can experience the transformative power of faith and community.
