The Office of Black Catholic Ministries (OBCM) gives direction and leadership to the full and holistic development of our Catholic communities serving individuals of the African Diaspora within the Diocese of Jackson. The Jackson OBCM provides resources to the diocese in its effort to respond to diverse ethnic pastoral needs and concerns. It utilizes resources both locally, regionally, and nationally in order to foster holistic development from a cultural perspective. It encourages the full participation of the Catholic community through the implementation of the diocesan strategic plan in collaboration with the National Black Catholic Congress and other culturally relevant pastoral plans.
