Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person—among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2270)
Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Jackson supports respect for life through a variety of services including it’s Parish Social Ministries office, adoption and maternity Services, Domestic Violence Shelter, Solomon Counseling Center, rape crisis services and more.
The Office of Family Ministry also provides support to crisis pregnancy centers as well as marriage and family support and outreach.
