The Office of Worship & Liturgy (OWL) coordinates diocesan liturgical events and Episcopal liturgies. OWL is available to assist parishes in planning liturgical ceremonies in the local parish and answer questions concerning liturgy.
We work with the Bishop, who is the chief shepherd and guardian of the liturgy, to develop diocesan norms and directives for the celebration of the Roman Rite in the Diocese of Jackson.
We work with parishes to plan liturgical celebrations such as: dedications of new churches and altars, confirmations, parish anniversaries, and other liturgies at which the bishop will be present.
We are always willing to answer or try to answer questions surrounding Catholic worship for our diocesan faithful. Together we can continue to develop the liturgical prayer-life of the Diocese of Jackson.
